We received an uplifting email this week from someone who purchased one of the Expo 86 t-shirts that we're selling in our online store, and figured we'd publish it as everyone could use a little good news lately.
Theresa McCullough writes:
I just had to share a story with you regarding the Expo 86 t-shirt. I had just received it and I have wore it to work the next day. As I'm standing there, a gentleman comes up to me and asked me if I had gone to Expo 86, and I had said yes. He then proceeded to tell me that in 86 his family had taken a trip to Canada for the first time, was wandering around the city exploring and saw the huge lineups and decided to line up along with them.
He had no idea what it was, but he said it was the most incredible experience he has ever had.
He then went on to tell me how he had escaped Israel and move to Canada. He told me about the horrors that he had to endure and how much better life in Canada was him and his family. It was just a really nice heartwarming talk with this gentleman who had nothing in Israel and has come to have Canada and have everything now.
