Vancouver police looking for high-risk sex offender missing since early Saturday - UPDATED

Vancouver police are looking for a convicted sex offender who cut off his electronic monitoring bracelet and left his residence.

Kirstjon Olson is considered a high-risk sex offender. The 38-year-old is subject to 27 court-ordered conditions, which include complying with electronic monitoring and curfew.

He cut off his electronic monitoring bracelet and left his residence. 

According to police, he left his residence in the Downtown Eastside shortly after midnight Saturday.

Olson is described as Indigenous, 5’8” tall and weighing 245 pounds. He was last seen wearing all black clothing and a black hat, and carrying a backpack with red straps.

Anyone who sees Olson, or knows his whereabouts, is asked to call 911 immediately, or Vancouver police detectives at 604-717-0630.
