However, the evening forecast calls for a break from the rainfall, with cloudy skies and a low of eight degrees.

Thursday, Friday and Saturday are also expected to see rainfall, with daily highs ranging between seven and 11 degrees. Lows of four to seven degrees are expected.

Sunday's forecast calls for rain during the day, however, the evening is expected to be dry. With this in mind, the temperature is expected to fall to zero degrees. Monday is also expected to be dry with a mix of sun and cloud during the day; Monday evening is expected to see a chilly low of minus one.

Tuesday's forecast calls for a 60 per cent chance of showers.
