Police are looking for help finding a man in black suspected of robbing a Burnaby bank last year.

On Nov. 1, at about 1:50 p.m., a man wearing sunglasses, a black toque, black jacket, black pants, black runners, and carrying a black side bag entered a bank in the 4000-block of Hastings St. in North Burnaby.

He approached a teller and, from a grey-gloved hand, passed over a robbery note.

“Based on the content of that note, the teller provided cash to the suspect, and he fled onto Hastings Street,” stated the release.

Burnaby RCMP have released a video of the suspect in the hopes someone will be able to identify him despite his stylish disguise.

The suspect is described as a man with a “light-brown complexion,” 25 to 35 years old, between 5’9” and 5’10”, with a full beard and a slim to medium build.

“We’re at a point now in our investigation where our investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying this suspect,” Cpl. Mike Kalanj said in the release. “Take a look at the video and if you know him call us immediately.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Burnaby RCMP non-emergency line at 604-646-9999. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or www.solvecrime.ca.
