"Offensive" B.C. house ordered destroyed comes down (WITH VIDEO)

An infamous problem home in Penticton B.C. was demolished by order of city council.

An infamous problem home in Penticton was demolished Saturday in Penticton, by order of city council.

377 Winnipeg Street has long been the target of complaints of criminal activity. Its tenants were evicted in August 2018, and the city says its owner Malvinder Singh Randhawa has done nothing for more than a year to fix up the property after being directed to do so.

On Nov. 19, 2019, council ordered Randhawa to demolish the home by Dec. 31 or face court proceedings, declaring the house 'offensive.'

On Saturday, the demolition finally took place. By late morning, much of the infamous structure had been demolished and crews had razed half of the house to the ground, with debris loaded into large construction bins.

There is no word as to plans for the property moving forward.
