UPDATE: Police arrest man who failed to return to Vancouver halfway house

Vancouver Police have arrested a 46-year-old man who is wanted Canada-wide after failing to return to his Vancouver halfway house.

Police say Dale Alexander is a two-time federal offender who has served a nine-year sentence for sexual assault causing bodily harm, kidnapping, and uttering threats. He is currently on a 10-year long-term supervision order.

Alexander is described as Metis, with a fair complexion, 6 feet tall and weighing 190 lbs.

He has a shaved head, blue eyes, a scar on his forehead and right upper arm, and normally wears glasses.

He is the second man this week that police reported as failing to return to his Vancouver halfway house.

On Thursday morning, August 9, police reported that they had arrested the other missing man -- Daine Vonbillings.
