A Burnaby Heights resident is raising awareness about dumping in his neighbourhood.
The latest incident came Sunday when John (the NOW has agreed to withhold his last name) spotted a giant pile of garbage dumped at the corner of Hastings and Gilmore.
“While walking to my favourite restaurant on Hastings, I came across this shocking pile of garbage,” John said. “Absolutely disgusting and not expected in Burnaby. It looks like rats and crows have picked through this.”
There's food, chemicals, clothing, and paper and evidence that this pile is from multiple "owners,” John said, including a prescription drug bottle with a person’s name on it.
“Shame on them.”
“I am making a statement to the citizens of Burnaby. Please help uphold our high standard for tidiness.”
