UPDATED WITH PHOTOS: Somebody drove a stolen truck into the ocean at Kits beach

The VPD issued a statement this afternoon regarding a stolen truck that they'd found.. in the water at Kits Beach.

A passerby spotted tire marks in the sand near the basketball courts and called police. Police found a truck in the water, which had been reported missing early this morning.

They're currently working with the Park Board and the Coast Guard to figure out the best way to remove the vehicle from the water.

Anyone who may have information about the stolen vehicle or how it got in the water, is asked to call police at 604-717-3321 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
