Hello, sun: Vancouver forecast calls for 7 straight days of sunshine

While Vancouver saw a great deal of dismal weather last week, this week's forecast calls for straight sunshine and toasty temperatures.

While Vancouver saw a great deal of dismal weather last week, this week's forecast calls for straight sunshine and toasty temperatures.

Starting on Monday, Aug. 10, Environment Canada calls for mainly sunshine and a high of 23°C on the coast and 26°C inland. However, temperatures are expected to feel more like 26°C and 29°C with humidity. Following this, Tuesday is expected to be mainly sunny with a high of 21°C. 

On Wednesday, the city is expected to see a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 20°C and a low of 13°C at night. Thursday's forecast also calls for a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 20°C during the day and a low of 12°C at night. 

On the weekend, the forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud from Friday through Sunday, but each day is expected to get progressively warmer. Friday's forecast calls for a high of 22°C, while Saturday is expected to reach a high of 25°C. On Sunday, the forecast calls for a sizzling high of 26°C.

Environment Canada has revisited its three-month summer forecast to include September. Models show above average temperatures. Right now, the forecast shows the Lower Mainland should see temperatures between 0.5°C and 1°C above average through the season.
