Man wanted Canada-wide for failing to return to Vancouver halfway house

Vancouver police are searching for a 58-year-old man who is wanted Canada-wide for failing to return to his Vancouver halfway house.

Daine Vonbillings was last seen in the downtown halfway house at 6 p.m. on August 5 driving a pickup truck he had permission to drive.

Police say the truck was was found later that day at Cypress Bowl with the back window smashed and Vonbillings failed to return to the halfway house by the midnight curfew.

Daine is white, 6’3” tall, 186 lbs., with facial hair, long grey hair often in a ponytail, and blue eyes.

He has numerous tattoos, including a butterfly and skull on his right hand, a unicorn and heart on his right arm, and a black rose and flaming star on his left arm.

He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with a design or logo, light blue jeans, black shoes, and a black zip-up jacket.

Vonbillings was on day parole for second-degree murder he committed in the mid-80s. If you see him, please call 9-1-1.
