The Vancouver weather forecast is calling for the possibility of snow this week as temperatures are expected to dip down to freezing.
Starting on Wednesday, Dec. 18, Environment Canada calls 10 to 20 mm of rainfall during the day. Wind southeast 30 km/h except 50 near the water are expected late this afternoon, and temperature will be steady around 7°C. The evening will dip down to 5°C and another 10 to 15 mm of rainfall are expected.
Following this, Thursday is expected to see showers through the day and rain at night. Southeast wind of 30 km/h is expected in the morning except 50 near the water late in the afternoon. Temperatures will remain steady around 8°C throughout the day.
Friday and Saturday are expected to see periods of rain, while Sunday's forecast calls for a 30% chance of showers during the day. Sunday evening is expected to be dry, however, the temperature is expected to dip to 1°C. On monday, the forecast calls for a 60% chance of showers during the day and a 60% chance of showers or flurries at night. The temperature is expected to reach freezing that night, which opens the possibility for flurries.

While Vancouver offers a smorgasbord of holiday events, the city isn't likely to see snow on Christmas Day.
According to The Weather Network, the south coast of B.C. has the lowest chance of seeing a white Christmas across Canada. With that in mind, their forecast notes that there will be an abundance of snow on the mountain next week, which will be a boon for local ski resorts.
