Starting in June of 2019 WOW Air will provide service between Vancouver and Iceland.
There will be six weekly flights out of Vancouver International Airport, with one-way fares to Iceland's capital, Reykjavik, starting for as little as $129 CAD.
The international carrier already operates out of Montreal and Toronto, and offers an extremely affordable option for travel to Europe from Canada.

WOW Air Announces Vancouver Route
"It's right there in the name - WOW! We are so excited to welcome this new, innovative airline partner to YVR and further connect B.C. proudly to the world with increased service to Iceland and beyond," said Craig Richmond, President and CEO of Vancouver Airport Authority.
"With the addition of WOW Airlines, we are well on our way to reaching our goal of 29 million passengers by 2020 and will have 57 airlines servicing the YVR community."
The carrier will use Airbus A321neo for the routes, which is a larger, extremely comfortable option for guests that allows for wider passenger seats and more legroom.
Guests may also enjoy a stopover in Reykjavik, where they can stay for as long as they wish with the WOW Stopover.
"From the first moment you land in Iceland you'll experience the raw nature, as even the short drive from Keflavik airport to Reykjavik is through an otherworldly black lava field," describes WOW about Iceland.
What's more, the new route offers fares for as little as $199 CAD to European destinations such as Amsterdam, Stockholm, Barcelona, Brussels, Paris, Copenhagen, Dublin, Frankfurt, London, Lyon, Milan and Berlin.
In addition, guests may travel to New Delhi for $329 and Tel Aviv for $249.
