2 Tickets to David Cronenberg's "M Butterfly" at Vancity

Perhaps one of Canadian director David Cronenberg 's more conventional features, M Butterfly (1993) features neither exploding heads nor any sort of theme-driven plot founded in the exciting world of entomology.

The film (in 35 mm!) is being presented this Thursday, May 6th (doors open at 6:30, introduction at 7:10) at the fabulously posh Vancity Theatre in conjunction with the Vancouver Opera, whose production of Madama Butterfly is set to open on May 29. UBC film studies professor Brian McIlroy will introduce the film and lead a discussion after the show.
