As Gman & Rizk opened up the much hyped FORTUNE SOUND CLUB this past Saturday, Ive noticed another new venue up and running in the neighborhood around the corner from it. The RICKSHAW THEATRE is at 254 E. Hastings and is already running with tons of GIGS and is also a venue in the OLIO FESTIVAL. The venue has 500 seats and a 1000 capacity "and working bathrooms!" Its available for rehearsal space, theatre, film and concert bookings. Oh, and dont forget about the WINNIE COOPER crew throwin down the NO MORE STRANGERS night every Saturday with tons of live local bands and stuff at the FUNKY WINKER BEANS (35 W. Hastings).
