Vancouver-native Ryan Arnold's debut feature Skidlove . which was one of six Canadian films entered into competition for the prestigious Borsos Prize at the Whistler Film Festival this past December, was ultimately awarded a very special jury prize for actress Jayme Keith.
Whether it's an atypical love story or a sexy (some might say "pervy") romance gone awry Skidlove's non-linear story is highlighted by extreme editing and a pulsing soundtrack. Fantastic performances by Arnold, Keith, and Roger Bainbridge (whose performance here is totally Sex, Lies and Videotape Spaderesque).
Skidlove is showing tonight at the China Cloud Theatre (524 Main Street). Doors open at 8:00, movie starts at 9:00, admission is $5.
