Grant Lawrence’s Adventures In Solitude – Playlist and book launch

Last week I was fortunate to receive a parcel containing an advance copy of Grant Lawrence’s book, Adventures In Solitude, which comes out in October (remember when we SHARED the cover with you?)! Also included in the parcel was a lanyard with a list of some of Grant’s favourite songs by Canadian bands that serve as the chapter titles. As you might suspect, the songs are available as a listenable playlist HERE!

Don’t miss Grant’s reading, conversation, book signing and multi-media presentation at MOV on October 7th at 7PM! Said The Whale and Jill Barber will be playing music and admission is free. You can’t beat that, so RSVP on Facebook now.

“The newly revamped Museum of Vancouver is the perfect place to launch this book” says Lawrence. “It’s an iconic building that, like most Vancouver kids, I first experienced on elementary school field trips to see the Planetarium and giant silver crab fountain. To be launching my own book there, my own story interwoven with the history of the West Coast, is really an honour”.

The launch event is being sponsored by Vancouver Is Awesome, Stanley Park Brewery, and White Bear Wine.
