Breaking down the top 5 NYE parties in Vancouver ... plus some honourable mentions!
New Year's Eve at The Waldorf
An incredible, all-access multi-room party. The event extends throughout the hotel rooms, lobby, two dining areas, 50s tiki bar and both nightclub and banquet spaces (the Cabaret and the Leeteg Room).
The Dinner: A five-course meal inspired by Basque cuisine so think Spanish and crazy delicious! More details can be found here. The Party: Performances throughout the night by John Maus, Geneva Jaccuzi, and TRS-80. The night also includes A History of Dance - an all night dance party in the Cabaret and the Leeteg Room. In the hotel rooms with be the Five Secret Worlds and as well as analog sets in the Tiki Room. There will also be an incredible slideshow on the west exterior wall.

W2 Lights NYE
For the first time ever at W2 a 5 room collaboration between Vancouver's underground music communities in one, massive public space at W2 Storeyum. Brining back the light and welcoming the new year! The Party: 5 rooms filled with music, video and interactive media art installations, performance, plus hors d'oeuvres, silent auction of cool gifts and art, secure coat check, special refreshments all in the heart of Gastown!

Casino Royale NYE at Red Card
Not your typical New Year’s Eve party! Canapes throughout the evening, and a midnight snack buffet. Play for fun Casino Royal: Black Jack tables, roulette, and horse races (10pm - 1am). Plus live DJ and dancing and complimentary bubbles at Midnight. Also some draws for some incredible giveaways. Grand Prize A: 3 nights accommodation at Paris or Planet Hollywood in Vegas! Massive Gala 2011
Celebrate New Year’s even in the heart of downtown Vancouver at a formal attire gala overlooking amazing views of the harbour.
The Dinner: Featuring an extravenagnt 5-star buffet - full menu available here. The Party: Featuring a live performance by ‘Dirty Radio’, the night will also include former Canadian DMC Champion DJ Wax, as well as DJ Downlowe, DJ Roger Maltik, Mychal Ferriera, DJ 11:11 and DJ Adoriana spinning tunes all night.

One Night Stand III
For the third year in a row...
