You likely noticed that Christine wrote a POST about us being nominated in CBC Radio 3's Searchlight competition for Best Canadian Music Website and how we've now made it to the short list of 60 of Canada's top music blogs?
Well, we're a bit of an exception to this contest as our site isn't entirely about music like most of our competitors' are, and without Christine McAvoy tirelessly delivering blog post after blog post after playlist as well as putting on live shows (go to the Valentines one she's doing! It's FREE!) there's no chance we'd be up for this award. Absolutely none. In fact it's "Vancouver Is Awesome - Independent Music" that's nominated for this award, and that is Christine!
So I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank her for all of the hard work that she does covering the independent music scene here in Vancouver, for helping us deliver a positive message about arts and culture and for being a champion for awesomeness:
