Daily Flickr Pickr Day 475

Every day we share a single photo from our Flickr Pool shot by one of our faithful and talented readers (that’s you!).

Quite often in this space, I will try to feature a photograph from a recent event that I think the good people of Vancouver will either find interesting, or perhaps feel a sense of pride from. But the Federal Election is a little bit different; it is such an important day in our nation that waiting until tomorrow to share a related photo is too late.

So today I will run a photograph by Airn MacFarlane that alludes to today’s Federal Election. And I want to be clear on one thing: this is a non-partisan post. While I urge all eligible Canadians to exercise their democratic right today and cast their vote (if you haven’t already), I am not in any way, shape or form trying to influence anyone’s decision. Your vote is your choice, my vote is my choice – the important thing is that we use them. Polls close at 7pm, we can shape the future of our nation together.
