There have been plenty of photos of The Chief here on the UNPLUGGED Flickr Pickr and there have been plenty of photos by Nathaniel here too but there's no arguing that we've never seen an image quite like this one.
You really get a feeling of the scale of the surroundings from this point of view and the subtle colour treatment and sharp detail in the highlights and shadows make for a truly serene yet powerful image which I feel must represent the day perfectly. In short, it made me say "wow" and I therefore declare that it is awesome.

It is our opinion here at VIA that Vancouver holds a unique place in the civilized world in that reaching this state often requires no more effort than simply pulling off to the side of the road, pocketing your keys and taking a few steps into the forest
