If you were to create a Venn diagram where one circle was labeled "cheap" and the other labeled "awesome", the middle point where they cross over could be labeled "Vancouver on the Cheap". In other words, this is a weekly series on things to do and places to go in Vancouver that fall into that magical category of being both cheap and awesome. |
There's something about a good title, isn't there? Especially if your subject matter is something that might be commonly overlooked, like, say, buttons. Little one-inch buttons. That's what Hot One Inch Action is all about. Mini-art displayed on buttons. This is no small project either (pun intended) - 60 artists are involved in this show that is now celebrating its 10 year anniversary.
The event is free, and taking home a grab bag full of one-inch canvases costs a measly five bucks. If you don't like what comes in your bag, you're welcome, nay, encouraged to do some trading. What better way to get to know some fellow Vancouverites than that?
