The Winter Wander in Vanier Park
This Family Day weekend, bring your family down to Vanier Park for a day of music, history, science, and art – with live performances by Vancouver Academy of Music students and Bard on the Beach’s Young Shakespeareans. Plus, enjoy face painting, local food vendors and enter to win prizes.
Best of all? Your $5 admission includes entry to: Museum of Vancouver, H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, Vancouver Maritime Museum, Vancouver Academy of Music, and City of Vancouver Archives.

Get Your Skate On at Robson Square

Nature Fun by the Fire
Hear wildlife stories and songs, and roast marshmallows at a toasty campfire. Learn tips form the animal world on how to thrive during a West Coast winter at Pacific Spirit Regional Park.
Everyone is welcome to this FREE event, which takes place from 1 to 4 p.m. at 4915 West 16th Avenue (400 m west of Blanca Street) in Vancouver.

Work it Out at the YMCA
Family Day at the Y is focused free fun! Free events at Langara Family YMCA on West 49th Avenue include a bouncy castle, face painting, arts and crafts and a session on making healthy snacks. Free activities include swimming, family ping pong, soccer, relay races, floor ball, family/kids yoga and an open swim. At the Robert Lee YMCA on Burrard Street, activities include an open swim, bouncy castle, tumbling, face painting, a healthy snack making session, parachute songs and games, music and movement and circle time.

Free Kids’ Admission at the Vancouver Art Gallery
Come and celebrate BC Family Day at the Vancouver Art Gallery on February 9, 2015. There will be an exciting range of activities to participate in throughout the day, such as The Making Place, an art program with hands-on workshops and Art Agents, engaging conversations and activities designed to deepen the appreciation for art. The UBC Chinese Ensemble will present a special music performance, inspired by the Gallery’s current exhibition Unscrolled: Reframing Tradition in Chinese Contemporary Art. 12-4pm, in the Gallery
