Local Kickstarter project makes light of religious figures


Here’s another Vancouver Kickstarter project worth checking out! Impotents: The Web Series looks to be a funny look at 20-something Gods just trying to find their way in the modern world. Seeminlgy inspired by Joan Osborne’s What If God Was One Of Us, they’ve cast Jesus as “a bit of a dork”, Buddha as “a bit of a pothead”, Ganesh is “obnoxious” and the daughter of Zeus, Artemis, is bored with life.

Their series isn’t exactly “safe” when it comes to traditional funding models and networks that could afford a budget to help make it happen, which is why they’ve decided to crowdfund it. Have a look at the video below for a preview then visit their campaign HERE.
