VIA-Giveaway-Post-4

Summer is in full swing. Our bank accounts are being drained for vacations, swimming lessons and day camps (if you could get into one)… The kids are blissfully unaware of our distaste for making lunches in the early-morning (didn’t that stop when school ended?), and don’t understand the stress of trying to get them here and there so that we can get to work. Doesn’t anyone care about the parentals? Yes! Deep breath, Carina and I care.

In fact, we care so much that we have been busting our butts to make this the Peaks & Harbours “Summer of Give-Aways.” Music Festival? We got that. Fancy drink mixers? Yup. Family portrait session, uh-huh.

So stop what you are doing, take some time for yourself, and enter to win one of these fabulous prizes. All you have to do is:

1: Follow Vancouverisawesomekids on Instagram.

2: Follow the giveaway donor on Instagram

3: Tag 3 people in the comments of each donor’s Instagram give-away post!

Let’s get started…

VIA-Giveaway-Post-2

SALT SPRING COFFEE & THE VANCOUVER FOLK MUSIC FESTIVAL TICKETS

First up, we have the Vancouver Folk Festival give-away thanks to our amazing friends at Salt Spring Coffee. For 14 years Salt Spring Coffee has been a partner of the Vancouver Folk Festival, supporting one of our favourite magical musical weekends of the summer. This year, alongside their organic fair to farmer coffee, they want YOU to join them! As the recipient of last years tickets, I can attest to the magic — need convincing? Read more about my experience here.

To win this pair of day passes (don’t forget that children under 12 are free), all you have to do is be following VIA Kids, and Salt Spring Coffee’s Instagram (see above for links) and tag 3 friends in the comment field of Salt Spring Coffee’s Instagram giveaway post. We will be randomly drawing names and notifying winners on the evening of Monday, July 13th. You can enter that day until 5:30pm PST.

IMAGES BY BETHANY FAMILY PORTRAIT SESSION

Next we have a family portrait session from our beloved Bethany. If you follow Peaks & Harbours (and who doesn’t?) you have seen both of Carina and my families get our family portraits taken — an experience that we still gush over to this day.

Bethany is offering up an hour-long family portrait session in Vancouver this fall. Redeemable September or October, you receive an online viewing gallery, slideshow, and one 8×10 matted print of your choice. All you have to do (and I sound like a broken record here, it’s like I’m talking to my kids) is be following VIA Kids, and Bethany’s Instagram and tag 3 friends in the comment field of Images by Bethany’s recent giveaway post. We will notify the winner on the evening of Monday, July 13th. You can enter that day until 5:30pm PST.

VIA-Giveaway-Post-3

ORGANIC FAIR SODA SYRUP MIX SET

Moving forward, my good friend Marisa, co-founder of Organic Fair  (you’ve seen their chocolates and other goodies in natural food markets around town) has generously given a full set of her soda syrups for your summer drinking pleasure. Organic Fair’s syrups are less sweet and have more flavour then their conventional counterparts — and because they have so much complexity, Carina and I have fun creating multi-layered cocktails with them. They also make an amazing mocktail and are healthy alternative to sugary soda — a 1 tablespoon serving mixed with 8oz of sparkling water is 40 calories! My kids love the syrups for floats, ice pops and shaved ice — they are a super fun addition to summer menus.

To be entered to win this fabulous set, you know what to do. Here is the link to Organic Fair — and by now, you have already followed VIA Kids. We will notify the winner on the evening of Monday, July 13th. You can enter that day until 5:30pm PST.
