#ArtistAtHome is a series of portraits and profiles of local artists by Christopher Edmonstone. Read all about it and see the archive HERE.
This was the very first portrait of the #ArtistAtHome series to feature a musician in their home. A former member of Hot Hot Heat, he is currently the frontman with Vancouver rockers The Gay Nineties and one half of the duo Fur Trade. I am pleased to introduce the very styling, multi-instrumentalist Parker Bossley. I was fortunate to get to know him last year while I was shooting Ponderosa Festival, which The Gay Nineties were playing and also were camped close to me for the weekend. It was a late night of partying in the campground and I had lost the keys to my friend’s Jeep on the festival grounds, and Parker came over to give me a hand searching with his flashlight. We didn’t find them that night but thankfully the keys turned up in the morning. I certainly appreciated the help though; solid guy that Parker. Recently Parker was down in Nashville to do some songwriting for the new Gay Nineties release. Look for good things from them in the near future and check out their website at gayninetiesmusic.com.
