Science Slam Finals Go Down Tonight at the Museum of Vancouver

Join the Museum of Vancouver for the epic culmination of a year’s worth of Science Slam events.

Based on the format of a poetry slam, competitors will have five minutes to present any science topic with creativity and ingenuity. The use of a projector or slides are not allowed. Presentations will be judged for communication skills, audience engagement, and scientific accuracy. Stakes are high as tonight will decide which competitor earns the grand championship title.

The participants will be judged by a star-studded panel comprised of Vancouver’s top science and communication institutions featuring John Chapman, Dan Dumsha,  Brian Fisher, Kristina McBurney and Maha El Meseery.

This championship event will also feature keynote speaker Carson Kivari, the defending Science Slam winner, and competitors hand-picked from all walks of science.
