The Weeknd's two shows in Vancouver have lost an opening act after Playboi Carti was dropped from the bill Tuesday.
The Atlanta rapper will not be participating in any Canadian tour dates "due to border crossing issues," according to a social media post from LiveNation.
Playboi Carti, also known as Jordan Carter, is an influential and popular figure in the rap world, but has also faced legal issues in the United States. He's faced felony assault charges for allegedly choking his pregnant girlfriend and gun and weapons charges after 12 bags of marijuana, other drugs, and guns were allegedly found in the car he was driving.
Carti was scheduled to open for The Weeknd on July 15 and 16 at BC Place and in Edmonton on July 19.
The shows will go on, with Mike Dean as the only opening act.
"The shows will begin at 7 p.m. as scheduled," according LiveNation.
