Thousands of Pokémon players to descend on Vancouver for Championship tournament


The stakes will be high and a coveted title on the line this weekend when the 2017 Pokémon Regional Championships hit the Vancouver area.

Thousands of Pokémon players, fans, and the people who love them will be streaming into the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel in Richmond on October 14 and 15 to be a part of the Pokémon action.

The highlight of this family-friendly event will include all the head-to-head battling for the coveted title of Pokémon Regional Champion, along with the chance to score points to net players an invite to the really big gathering: the 2018 Pokémon World Championships in Nashville, which takes place next summer.

$50,000 in prizes are up for grabs at the Vancouver event, and you can bet these serious Pokémon players are game to catch ’em all.

The 2017 Pokémon Regional Championships are October 14 and 15 at 9 am at The Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel in Richmond.
