Taking over 1.4 acres at the site of the Whistler Golf Club, The Ice Kingdom promises to offer "a world of snow and ice" full of "life-size creations" and sculptures.

The sculptures are the work of 20 global artists led by master carver David Xu Riu. This crew has been working together for several years perfecting their art that has its roots 300 years back in Chinese culture. The prep for Whistler's Ice Kingdom began a month ago--and with the fairly consistent snow this season, it's been a good time for snow and ice in the area.

On the massive site, guests will also find food vendors and refreshments--think hot chocolate, bubble tea and snacks--and a licensed bar inside the Clubhouse. At night the Ice Kingdom will light up for a truly special sight.
