Another creep is offering "free rent" in exchange for you being his girlfriend

Another local Craigslister preying on those affected by the housing crisis

With rents continuing to be high in Metro Vancouver, out-of-the-ordinary housing options continue to be advertised, attempting to take advantage of the challenging housing market.

Less than two weeks ago, we reported a Craigslist “S-daddy” posted that he was seeking a roommate who would pay in dates, housekeeping and massages (yes, you read that cirrectly). While that post has been removed, another popped up on Craigslist offering free rent to the potential girlfriend.

Posted on February 11, the person mentioned directly that he is looking for a girlfriend, instead of being a sugar daddy like the other post.

He described himself as “30 years old, slim, fit, clean, neat/tidy, South Asian professional that is living alone in a Yaletown condo.”

He said he spent most of his time working and feels lonely, which is why he is looking for a girlfriend to come home with him in his one bedroom modern apartment. Being lonely sucks for sure but we'd like to suggest that he goes about this the way most people do, and that begins with NOT LISTING AN AD FOR A PROSTITUTE ON CRAIGSLIST.

According to Rent Jungle, as of January 2018, the average monthly rent for a one bedroom apartment in Vancouver is $2113, while $1565 in Richmond. The current minimum wage in B.C. is $11.35 per hour, so those working 40 hours a week will end up with a monthly income of $1816 before tax.
