Get ready to get down in downtown this Saturday for Public Disco's first laneway pop-up dance party of the summer.
Public Disco is setting up in downtown Vancouver's pink and yellow Alley Oop laneway for a free, family-friendly open air dance party.

The organizers are known for transforming urban spaces like plazas, parking lots, and alleys into public gathering spaces.
The dance party will feature sets from Niña Mendoza, Neighbour, Wabi Time and Ryan Wells to keep your toes tapping.
The setting for this Public Disco is the eye-catching Alley Oop at Granville & Pender, which was transformed a couple of years ago by the Downtown Vancouver BIA and HCMA Architecture + Design to help provide a new space for social interaction and play in the heart of the city. (We are big fans of their tagline "More awesome now.")

The dance party is open to any and everyone, and inclusivity and safety an expressed expectation. Plus, you're encouraged to dress up (if you want!) as much as you want to. But if you forgot your glitter, the event will have a "Sparkle Station" offering free biodegradable glitter and face painting station manned by a professional makeup artist.
