Art Gallery's summer Family FUSE weekend urges learning from the land

Parents: We're in the final stretch. Labour Day is just around the corner, but before we shift into brown bag lunches and labels on school supplies for a fresh year, the Vancouver Art Gallery has a full weekend of fun to wrap up your August.

The summer edition of Family FUSE takes place all day on Saturday, August 25 and Sunday, August 26, 2018. Called "Listen to the Land," the weekend is all about inspiring creativity and learning from the land through visual art, music, film and performance.

It's no accident that the Family FUSE theme goes perfectly with what's on at the Vancouver Art Gallery right now, like "Ayumi Goto and Peter Morin: how do you carry the land?" and "Cabin Fever."

From sketching, weaving and do-it-yourself cabin-making, to spoken-word poetry, soundscape-creating and DJing, a ton of exciting programming awaits children of all ages. Find the whole lineup online.
