Two men assault a taxi driver in Surrey and run away, RCMP release sketch

Surrey RCMP are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a suspect from an assault that occurred in early August in north Surrey on a taxi driver.

On August 8th at roughly 3:30 pm, authorities responded to a report of an assault on a taxi driver in the 13200 of 105A Avenue.

The driver was called to the area after someone requested a taxi; he was subsequently assaulted by two males. Two witnesses were at the scene of the assault and yelled at the suspects.

The suspects both fled the area on foot. The witnesses remained with the driver until police arrived.

Now, police are releasing a composite sketch of suspect # 1 in hopes that someone in the community is able to identify him to further the investigation.

Suspect #1 is described as a black male, in his late 20s, with a slim build, black buzz cut hair, and wearing a blue t-shirt.

Since they do not have a composite sketch of suspect #2, they were only able to provide a very basic description of him from the witnesses and victim.

Suspect #2 is described as a black male, in his 20s, with a slim build.
