30 photos that show off how freaking beautiful B.C. is right now

There’s a chill in the air in the early morning and at night that the sun manages to steadily warm away the rest of the day. Leaves crunch beneath your feet. Even though the blooms of summer are dying off, there’s still a freshness right now. And, come on, could Vancouver and the surrounding region be more beautiful than at this time of year?

From moody forest walks to sunrises worth setting your alarm early for, there’s so much to marvel at in our natural surroundings in beautiful British Columbia in the early fall. Even though you may have to elbow your way past others holding their phones aloft to get the best shot of a tree glorious in its autumnal reds and oranges, capturing these moments are so, so worth it. Mostly because when you tag them #vancouverisawesome we can enjoy them too, and share them.

Take a journey from the seawall to the Sea to Sky, from a lakeside cabin to a frolic in the park with a pup. Cross train trestles, bridges, and cranberry bogs. Wake up with the birds in an ocean-side pool. Dive right into fall in and around Metro Vancouver, and check out these 30 photos that show off just how freaking beautiful B.C. is right now.
