B.C.-wide manhunt launched for sexual assault suspect who removed ankle monitor

Vancouver Police are asking the public for any information they may have that leads to the arrest of a wanted man. Mark Lukyn is currently wanted B.C.-wide for breath of recognizance after he removed his electronic monitoring bracelet while out on bail on October 15.

Mark Lukyn is currently wanted B.C.-wide for breach of recognizance after he removed his electronic monitoring bracelet while out on bail on October 15.

Recently, the 41 year old was granted bail after being charged with sexual assault, causing bodily harm, two counts of forcible confinement, uttering threats and assault with a weapon.

Police believe he removed the electronic monitoring bracelet near the area of 102 Avenue and King George Boulevard in Surrey. He hasn't been seen since.

Mark is known to frequent Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. He is white, 5’11 tall, weighs 185 lbs, has short hair that is dyed blonde and a stubble beard.

He has a tattoo of a fish skeleton on his right forearm and a dagger with flowers on his right upper arm. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans and sandals.

Anyone who sees Mark Lukyn, or has information regarding his whereabouts, is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
