While Monday's wicked winds may have died down, Metro Vancouver remains under a rainfall warning into Tuesday, as an intense frontal system will keep bringing us the wet stuff in the region.

The rainfall warning covers the following areas, per Environment Canada:
City of Vancouver - including Burnaby and New Westminster
Metro Vancouver - northeast including Coquitlam and Maple Ridge
Metro Vancouver - southeast including Surrey and Langley
Metro Vancouver - southwest including Richmond and Delta
North Shore - including West Vancouver and North Vancouver
Heavy rains are expected to fall Tuesday morning before the system shifts to the east, however "unstable conditions in its wake will maintain showers over the south coast through tonight," notes the weather agency.
Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible, cautions Environment Canada. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks, and culverts.
So far we've seen varying amounts of rainfall across B.C.'s southern coast, ranging from 30 mm away from the mountains to over 120 mm near the mountains.
With today's rains, we can expect to have seen 15 to 40 mm by Wednesday morning.

Though we are getting a hefty soaking, temperatures remain on the mild side. Tuesday's forecast for Vancouver is for a high of 12C, with temps of 9C for Wednesday and Thursday. Things will cool down further by the weekend, with temps in the 5-7C range in Vancouver, but we could also see some sunny, or partly-sunny skies by then.
