While there are a great deal of things to do around Vancouver over the holidays, things start to slow down in the New Year.

So, if you are still ready to party in January, Las Vegas has exactly what you're looking for. And while packages to the city of sin are all over $400 CAD or $500 CAD per person during the month of December and most of January, WestJet Vacations offers one stay at a steal.

The flight departs Vancouver on Sunday, January 13 and returns on Wednesday, January 16, and both flights are direct. In addition, the outbound flight leaves early in the morning which allows you to get comfortable before heading out on your first night. What's more, the return flight leaves after noon, which means that you don't have to wake up at the crack of dawn after staying out late.

The total price for two people comes to $797.34 CAD including all tax and fees for 3 nights at the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino; that breaks down to $398.67 CAD per person including all taxes and fees.

Experience Las Vegas

If you’re a thrill-seeker, or simply want to go on some fun rides, than the Stratosphere is perfect for you. For example, the “Big Shot” shoots you 160 feet in the air at 45 miles per hour and gives you a stunning perspective of the majestic Las Vegas Valley. What’s more, riders are strapped in on a 921 foot high platform and shoots them back up and down again.

For the really brave, there’s the “SkyJump” which sounds like a truly exhilarating experience.

“SkyJump is a heartpounding, scream-inducing, open-air leap from 829 feet above the neon Strip and holds a Guinness World Record as the highest commercial decelerator descent facility. You’ll zoom toward the landing pad at speeds topping 40 mph while the crowds below gasp and applaud your bravado. See SkyJumper videos in the image gallery above.”
