George Takei boldly goes for a trek on Vancouver’s SkyTrain (PHOTOS)

SkyTrain: the final frontier. These are the voyages the TransLink. And one such voyager was actor and activist George Takei, who was spotted at the Stadium-Chinatown Station in Vancouver Thursday.

Takei, visiting Vancity to take part in this weekend’s Fan Expo, boldly went where lots of Metro Vancouverites go on a daily basis – though most of us aren’t stopped for photos and autographs like this famous octogenarian.

The Star Trek actor and prominent LGBTQ+ activist (and social media mega-influencer) was taking his ride with CBC Radio Vancouver’s The Early Edition host Stephen Quinn. Takei even got a coveted new Compass wristband strapped on his wrist so he could beam himself through the fare gates at warp speed.
