A cup of tea and a little companionship was all a Delta senior was looking for.
And she got just that from a Delta police officer.
Recently paramedics called DPD to request assistance as they were dealing with an agitated and uncooperative elderly woman.
“Our officer attended, and learned the woman had become upset after hearing that her adult children would not be able to visit her that day,” said DPD in Facebook page post. “In his file notes, our officer described her as ‘very pleasant to deal with’ and noted she was merely frustrated by the situation. Then he joined her for a lovely cup of tea.”
This is just another example of the department’s ‘no call too small’ mandate.
