This 13-year-old Metro Vancouver yo-yo champ has won his second national title (VIDEO)

Richmond’s 13-year-old yo-yo star Terrance Wang is the national champion in the open division of the Canadian National Return Top Championships for the second year running.

The DeBeck elementary Grade 7 student followed up his win in Toronto last year by retaining his title in Vancouver over the long weekend at the national event.

Last year, when he was 12, Wang was the youngest yo-yo player to hold the Canadian national championship title.

He began yo-yoing when he was seven years old and learned most of his skills and tricks on his own or through the Internet.

Wang has been competing since 2015 and has won many medals in yo-yo contests across Canada, the United States and at school talent shows.
