Power outage takes 7,300 BC Hydro customers off the grid in Vancouver


A huge power outage has 7,300 BC Hydro customers near downtown Vancouver in the dark Monday morning.

The outages are split into four coverage areas, with some overlap in Kitsilano, Granville Island, South Granville, and north of Arbutus Ridge.

According to BC Hydro the issue is a “substation fault,” and crews have been dispatched to the scene to investigate.
