There are two things Vancouver unquestionably loves: Brunch and drag queens. Those two fabulous worlds collide this month when Eat North’s lively Drags Benny arrives in town for a one-day only (and one-of-a-kind) drag brunch event in support of the Vancouver Pride Society.

Taking place Sunday, October 20 at the Fairmont Waterfront, Drags Benny is an afternoon that will surely delight – this roving brunch party has enjoyed jubilant reception in cities like Calgary, Edmonton, and Victoria, too.

Guests will be greeted with a welcome drink upon arrival along with some brunch canapes. Then comes the sit-down three course brunch, which will be created by Fairmont Waterfront’s executive chef, Michael Pagnacco. Sip drag-themed drinks while you enjoy your meal, too.

Food can make the brunch, but when it comes to Drags Benny, this is true breakfast theatre. Hostess Laila McQueen of RuPaul’s Drag Race will take charge, and the entertainment will also feature a line-up of some of the B.C.’s top drag performers drag queens: Kendall Gender, Gia Metric and Mina Mercury as well as Calgary drag darlings Angelina Starchild and Perla Coddington. They’ll all be working it – as in working their way around the room – to ensure this is a brunch to remember.
