The headstone for a two-year-old girl that was found in Penticton that RCMP were working to reunite with its owner has been claimed - and the good news is it wasn't stolen from a grave.

Police found the headstone on Jan. 14, which read "Mary Ann Heath 1993-1995."

They feared it had immense value to a family and was the result of a theft from a grave site.

And the owner has come forward: A funeral home.

They say it is a sample stone and not a real person's grave marker, and confirmed it was stolen from their property.
