Accomplished documentary filmmaker Nettie Wild (FIX: The Story of an Addicted City) is offering a free workshop for youth aged 12 to 16 years on turning a story idea into a film, July 8. The emphasis will be on non-fiction narratives. Participating youth will be encouraged to develop a topic they can turn into a short film on their own time during the summer. Youth are then welcome to submit their short films to be shown at the first annual South Hill Neighbourhood Film Festival being planned for September.
