Think you cant draw? Think again. Vancouver Draw Down is an annual, daylong celebration of drawing that challenges every single Vancouverite to dispel their preconceptions about drawing, to touch a pen to a piece of paper, and make a mark.
On June 15, more than 35 different arts and cultural organizations across Vancouver will host diverse, hands-on drawing workshops in community centres, parks, schools, art galleries, cemeteries, and on the street! You can create a flipbook or a diorama, draw with an iPhone, create your own pigments, design a hotel and much more.
The workshops are designed with a come-and-go atmosphere, and participants are encouraged to move around to different events throughout the day. All workshops are open, inclusive, and free (or free with admission) and led by professional artists. This is the fourth and biggest Draw Down, with participation from every Community Centre in Vancouver. VancouverDrawDown.com
