VanDusen Botanical Gardens are beautiful at any time of year but there are times when the plants and trees put on a show to rival the annual Festival of Lights. One of those times is now. The Laburnum Walk is earning its reputation of being one of the most photographed spots in the garden. The Laburnum x watereri Vossili are hybrid trees that, when in bloom, dangle yellow chain-like clusters of flowers over the heads of visitors with contrasting purple alliums planted beneath. The gardens are open 9am to 9pm. Admission is $10.75 for adults, $8 for seniors and youth and $25.25 for a family pass. Check out a calendar of whats in bloom when at Vancouver.ca/Vandusen/.
