“We moved from Israel. It’s starting all over, a fresh start. It’s hard. New jobs, new houses, new friends. For the kids it’s a new language, pretty much everything.

“My family is still in the Philippines and I’m thinking of them. I’ve got three kids. They’re still in process for permanent residency. It’s hard to be apart from them. It’s very frustrating.

“I got the Sanskrit tattoo that means fearlessness on my warrior arm during a chapter in my life when I needed to be brave, to dive in and not be so attached... I got the lotus on my feminine side for beauty. It grows up in two directions.
