During my 30-year career in corporate finance and two decades as a residential and commercial realtor, I have learned that being a successful businessperson is much more than helping clients. It’s about being actively involved in my community. During the last fifty years, one of the ways I have achieved this has been by serving as a director of G & F Financial Group, Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver, Certified Commercial Investment Member, Yaletown Business Improvement Association, Vancouver Society of Children's Centre.
Currently, President of the Rotary Club of Vancouver Fraserview, Creator and Executive Producer of Real Estate 101tv, Strata Council Chair Balsam West, Member of the Advisory Committee Eastside Division, Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver, Building Committee Member Vancouver Native Health Society, Director of Aboriginal Mother Centre and Real Estate Institute of Canada, Volunteer Tzu Chi Foundation and Kitsilano Showboat.
I’ve put my knowledge and experience to good use and helped to ensure the organizations I served continue to remain vital to our community. I believe I have a great deal to offer, having extensive knowledge in government, for profit and non-profit organizations.
Becoming an elected official has great responsibility. One must ensure that as a representative of the electors, there is communication, consultation and transparency between city hall and the citizens of Vancouver. It is my intention to be the voice and representative of the citizens of Vancouver.
