The wait is over, for whoever was waiting. The first trailer for the, um, hotly anticipated adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey has finally been released.
The clip shows the two characters – the naïve-yet-beautiful Anastasia Steele (played by Dakota Johnson) and the enigmatic Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) – in various states of undress and provocative embrace, set to the tune of a remixed “Crazy in Love” by Beyonce. A sopping wet Vancouver is featured prominately in the exterior shots, which, if used intentionally as a metaphor, is rather on the nose, don’t you think?
The film, based on the best-selling porno-lite book series by E.L. James, was shot at locations throughout Metro Vancouver, creating quite a stir in town before shooting wrapped up in February.
Fifty Shades of Grey is slated for release next February – just in time for Valentine’s Day, honey.
