Vancouver restaurateur Desmond Chen is a fan of Vancouver stylist Jason Sarai. When we joined them at a photoshoot near the Arthur Erickson condo overlooking the Granville Bridge, we asked them to describe what they're wearing and the philosophy behind their choices.

His suit: Hugo Boss, blue, with white shirt and light blue polka dot pocket square
His car: 2012 Mercedes CLS 63 AMG
His style: I was a black, grey and navy guy until Sarai convinced him to add more colour to his wardrobe. He gives me the confidence to be more adventurous with my colours. There's also trust in Sarai's style choices. His style is amazing. He can always pull anything off.
Style philosophy: Style is an interpretation of yourself. Your appearance dictates how people perceive you.
His suit: Bespoke three-piece suit with purple, blue and hint of lilac material. Paired with light blue shirt, pink tie, pink, purple and blue tartan pocket square and a fresh flower in the lapel.
His style: He likes three-piece suits because they take your outfit to the next level and make everything else pop out. He fell in love with the material during a trip to Hong Kong. He had the suit custom-tailored knowing there wouldn't be another one like it in Vancouver. Blues are so forgiving and you can mesh so many colours in the outfit.
